Frequented Frosh Favorites

Though transitioning into college involves a lot of different aspects, like adjusting to classes, dorm life, and moving away from home, a very important part of moving to college is finding a new favorite spot, somewhere to hang out that makes you feel relaxed or happy. This week, I asked a few of my frosh friends to share their favorite spots around Claremont that they tend to frequent, as well as their reasons for picking those places.

Julio Medina ’18: “The outdoor classroom on top of the Shan is my favorite place because I can come and focus on my schoolwork if I need to, or just sit and enjoy the sun if I want to. It’s close to the academic end, so I don’t need to walk all the way to my room if I just came from class and want some place to relax.”

Lupe Carlos ’18: “I like this place because it’s a great place to study, and I really like its name.”

Brendan Murran ’18: “I like to go to Mount Baldy, a place of adventures and dreams.”

Kim Joly ’18: “White boards, couches, quiet, all right next to engineering department! What more could you want?”

These are just a few of the favorite spots of frosh on campus. My favorite spot is wherever I can see a beautiful view, which changes depending on the day.

I was running on the track a while ago, right after a few days of rain, when I stopped to take a picture of the snow on the mountains.
