Harvey Mudd College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The College’s most recent CPR self-study (PDF) was completed in 2009, and included a WASC team visit (PDF) to the campus in October 2009. Harvey Mudd College submitted its Educational Effectiveness Review report in December 2010, and hosted a team visit in March 2011.


Since 1962, the Department of Engineering has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.


The program in chemistry meets the requirements of the American Chemical Society, making chemistry graduates eligible for membership in the society immediately upon graduation.

To support accreditation efforts and sustain the excellence of its programs, Harvey Mudd College also engages in rigorous program reviews (on a seven-year cycle) of all academic departments, including assessment by outside peer-review teams.
