Welcome to HMC’s accreditation website. Here you will find complete information related to HMC’s accreditation by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
In March 2022, Harvey Mudd’s accreditation by WSCUC was reaffirmed for a 10-year period, the maximum term possible. Read the Commission Action Letter (PDF) conveying HMC’s accreditation.
The commission’s decision was informed by the report of the review team, that conducted the Accreditation Visit to Harvey Mudd College from October 12–15, 2021, and by HMC’s Institutional Report for Reaffirmation, submitted to WSCUC on August 3 2021. Visit 2021 WSCUC Re-Affirmation for a full description of the reaffirmation process, including links to relevant documents.
HMC appreciates the guidance provided by the review team and the WSCUC Commission. Specialized accreditation information can be found below.
The Department of Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
The program in chemistry meets the requirements of the American Chemical Society, making chemistry graduates eligible for membership in the society immediately upon graduation.
