Welcome to HMC’s accreditation website. Here you will find complete information related to HMC’s accreditation by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).

In March 2022, Harvey Mudd’s accreditation by WSCUC was reaffirmed for a 10-year period, the maximum term possible. Read the Commission Action Letter (PDF) conveying HMC’s accreditation.

The commission’s decision was informed by the report of the review team, that conducted the Accreditation Visit to Harvey Mudd College from October 12–15, 2021, and by HMC’s Institutional Report for Reaffirmation, submitted to WSCUC on August 3 2021. ABET

The Department of Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

ACS

The program in chemistry meets the requirements of the American Chemical Society, making chemistry graduates eligible for membership in the society immediately upon graduation.

HMC-Led Reviews

To support accreditation efforts and sustain the excellence of its programs, Harvey Mudd College also engages in rigorous program reviews (on a seven-year cycle) of all academic departments, including assessment by outside peer-review teams.
