Institutional Research

Harvey Mudd’s Office of Institutional Research, led by Laura Palucki Blake, is responsible for the analysis, interpretation and reporting of data collected from local and national surveys and research studies, including the National Survey of Student Engagement, Faculty Survey of Student Engagement and surveys distributed to Harvey Mudd students and alumni.

Currently, the office provides primary coordination of Harvey Mudd’s accreditation process with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC); Blake serves as the College’s academic liaison officer to WASC.

Institutional Research works with academic and administrative departments to design and implement assessment methods to measure progress toward specified student learning outcomes and departmental objectives.
