Electric Vehicle Charging Station
With assistance from a donation from Thomas Bleakney ’69, the College has an electric-vehicle charging station available in the northwest parking lot on campus (north of Parsons, west of the Shanahan Center). The Harvey Mudd College EV charging station is a dual port ChargePoint system that can charge two vehicles simultaneously using J1772 connectors. The station rates are currently $1.25/hour for visitors/guests and $.17/kWh for Harvey Mudd constituents. To receive the College rate, please sign up with ChargePoint. ChargePoint has a website and smart phone apps for both iPhone and Android where you can check the availability and location of stations, as well as check the status of your vehicle at the charging station. There are step-by-step instructions located on the charging station screen and ChargePoint driver’s assistance number is 888.758.4369.
The EV parking is for connected (i.e. plugged in) electric vehicles only; users will be charged for the time they are connected to the charging station whether or not their vehicle charging is complete. Please park in charging station stalls only if you have an electric vehicle and you are connected to the charging station. Once your vehicle is charged, please relocate your vehicle so others may use the station.
