Is storage available?

Why can’t I leave my items in my room, suite or lounge when I move out?
- Summer is a time when the college deep cleans dorm main lounges, suite lounges, and rooms, as well as performs maintenance and repairs to our residence halls. This process is necessary to prevent permanent degradation and damage to college assets and facilities.
What do I do with my personal bed, couch, bicycle or other large personal items?

What do I do if I’m studying abroad?

Can I leave personal items in a dorm lounge or suite during the summer months?
- No, student storage will not be permitted in any dorm lounge or suite. Items left in suites or lounges will be discarded.
What do I do with my e-waste?
- You may place your e-waste in the designated bin located on the west side of Atwood Dorm. The Recycling Guide lists acceptable e-waste.
Can I leave my properly packaged boxes or containers in my room, suite or lounge while I’m off campus?
- No, student storage will not be permitted in any dorm lounge or suite. Items left in suites or lounges will be discarded.
I’m participating in Summer Math, where do I put my things?

I’m participating in Summer Research or working on campus during part of the summer, where do I put my things?

I’m arriving early to campus in the fall as a proctor, mentor, orientation leaders, fall athlete, where do I put my things?

Which tag do I use?
- Please use blue tags to label bulk items to be discarded, recycled or donated.
- Orange tags are to be used to identify a bicycle belonging to a summer resident. Bicycles must be stored in the designated storage rooms or they will be removed from the rack and discarded. More information regarding bikes can be found on the Spring Closing Information web page.
- Staff labels will be used to indicate a piece of furniture as an item recognized by the college to remain in the dorm common areas during summer, e.g. college asset.
Where do I pick up tags?
- From dean of students and facilities and maintenance offices.
Where do I dispose of my trash or recyclables myself?
- There will be two appropriately labeled large containers located in the center of the quad dorms. Dispose of your trash and recyclables in the appropriate bin.
