Beyond the Fair Seminars

Preparing Students for Post-graduation Success

Our Beyond the Fair seminars are designed to prepare students for Life After Harvey Mudd College. The seminars are in keeping with the College’s mission to educate students so they may assume leadership roles in their fields with a clear understanding of their work’s impact on society. Students benefit tremendously hearing from diverse speakers on a variety of topics that contribute to their professional development.

The seminars are offered both fall and spring semesters and are held during the lunch or dinner hours. They are typically offered for 45 minutes but can be longer depending on the topic. The seminars are advertised on campus and on Handshake, our career management system, each semester.

Call for Presenters

We invite employers, alumni, parents, community members, and Claremont Colleges faculty and staff to be presenters for the Beyond the Fair seminars. Student clubs and organizations can also request to co-sponsor Beyond the Fair seminars. To volunteer, email us at career_services@hmc.edu
