Want to know if you belong at Harvey Mudd College? The best way to find out is to come for a campus tour or overnight visit. With our sun-kissed California weather and proximity to mountains and beaches, it shouldn't be too painful. And you'll find our students, faculty and staff very helpful and welcoming.

Whether you just want to check out the campus or meet us face to face in an admission interview, we'd love to have you. While you're here, we'll keep you busy. You can sit in on a class, meet with professors and staff--anything you need to help you figure out if HMC is the place for you.

Campus Tours
Get the lay of the land with an hour-long tour of the HMC campus. Be sure to call our office in advance at (909) 621-8011 to confirm when tours are available.

Tour schedule:

During the academic year, student-led tours are usually available at 11 am, 1:30 pm, and 3 pm Monday through Friday, with a counselor-led information session at 2:30 pm.  The schedule is subject to change during breaks and final exams, so please call ahead to confirm tour times on the date you plan to visit.

We also have tours available at 11 am on some Saturdays throughout the Fall. Call in advance to see if a Saturday tour is scheduled for your visit day.

During summer (beginning 3rd week of May) and winter break (late December--mid-January) the office is open Monday through Friday with tours at 10 am and 2 pm.  An information session is offered at 1:30 pm.  Please call ahead to confirm tour times. 

Interviews
We don't require an interview when you apply, but we highly encourage it. Why? Because a website can only go so far in describing our unique college, and we'd love to sit down with you and fill in the blanks.  And we figure you'd like us to meet the person behind the application, too.

Plan to interview as early as the April of your junior year. To schedule your interview, call the Office of Admission at (909) 621-8011 at least a week in advance. The office is open weekdays throughout the year and on most Saturdays from September through November.

Overnight Visits
The best way to really get a feel for HMC-hang out with us. Think of it as one night to figure out the next 1,460. You'll crash in a Mudder's dorm room, meet the people, and eat the food (college lesson #1-never, ever turn down free food).

And while you're here, we'll make sure you're entertained:

• Interview with the Office of Admission
• Sit in on a class
• Chat with HMC students

Overnight visits are for one night and are limited to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday only.  Since we want you to sit in classes, we only make overnights available from late September until Thanksgiving, and again from late January through February.  Only high school seniors may stay overnight.  Please call the Office of Admission at (909) 621-8011 at least two weeks in advance to plan your visit.
