The Office of Communications and Marketing offers a range of services to the Harvey Mudd community. It is responsible for producing media including: print, videography, photography, promotional email and stationery.
It also manages the College’s official social media channels and the main website.
The Office of Communications and Marketing produces a variety of College publications to include admission materials, Mudd Magazine, annual report, stationery and letterheads, commencement pieces and a host of materials for many other campus events. Our office maintains and updates the online Editorial Style Guide, which all offices and academic departments are encouraged to use to provide consistency and accuracy in all campus publications and correspondence.
There is a standard design for all letterheads, stationery items and business cards. We have partnered with a local printer to provide online ordering of letterhead, envelopes, mailing labels, business cards, thank you/note cards and notepads.
Faculty and staff members may become an authorized user and place an order directly, or may coordinate orders through their department representative (usually the administrative assistant of your department).

Individuals may order name badges online.

College Seal and Logo
The consistent use of visual symbols is crucial to creating and maintaining an effective image identity. Following the Visual Identity Guidelines will help the College promote an image identity that is positive and consistent.

Announcements and Event Planning
We produce and distribute announcements of campus events open to the public and work with campus offices to plan and publicize events. For help planning on-campus events, we’ve created an Event Planning Guide for faculty and staff. To have your event appear on the HMC website (calendar) and campus monitors, submit your event details here.
We work with all offices and academic departments to coordinate the design and production of items such as personalized apparel, pens, awards, banners and more. We work with numerous illustrators, sculptors, artists, jewelers, etc. to complete almost any project. Please complete our Communications & Marketing Request Form to request assistance.
Communications works with campus partners to arrange photography for events and to shoot publicity photos. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
In cooperation with freelance professionals, the communications and marketing office also helps develop video projects. Contact Judy Augsburger regarding writing, filming, editing and production of videos for special events.
