This lunch will honor our scholarship donors, student support donors, and student recipients. Enjoy lunch with President Nembhard as we celebrate the generosity of our donors and the remarkable accomplishments of our students.

Planned giving is one of the most meaningful ways to shape Harvey Mudd’s future—and the possibilities may surprise you. Game of Democracy Student Exhibit (Sprague Gallery, Shanahan Center)
Join students taking a new course “The Game of Democracy: Art, Engineering, Chance, Choice, and Civic Life” as they give a tour of their final projects in the Sprague Gallery. The exhibit will feature student-created “devices of democracy,” which are cross-disciplinary installations, tools, or systems designed to foster more just civic processes.

Join us in the Liquidambar Mall Tent for a casual lunch where you can sit down with your former professors and current department heads. We’ve organized the tables by major so you can easily find your departments, catch up with faculty, and see how HMC has evolved since you walked the stage.

Come see the Hixon Center’s digs in Olin, chat with students about their research posters, and meet faculty teaching and growing the Hixon Center’s reach. The Hixon Center is leading undergraduate climate program that is solutions-focused, technically broad, and aligned with the mission of Harvey Mudd College. Commemorate 10 years of Human Centered Design and its impact out in the world with special displays featuring student and alumni stories.

Academic Receptions (Various locations, see below)
Join faculty at various locations across campus to reconnect with the professors who challenged you and meet the faculty leading the way today. It’s a casual “open house” style reception where you can hear department updates and see the physical evolution of our spaces. Department chairs will offer brief remarks about halfway through each reception.

Makerspace Hours (McGregor Computer Science Center, first floor)
Come make things! Visit the HMC Makerspace: our 8,000 sq. ft., student-run facility to see where the 7C community comes together to create. Serving over 1,200 members annually, the Makerspace provides the tools and resources for everything from high-tech electronics to 3-D printing and sewing and mending tools. Faculty, staff and student stewards will be on hand to answer questions. Note: Please be cautious of student projects in the Makerspace.
2–3 p.m.
Machine Shop Open House (Olin Basement)
Harvey Mudd College’s Jude and Eileen Laspa Machine Shop offers opportunities for students to turn ideas into reality. Visit the HMC machine shop, hear from our stewards, and if you haven’t been down there in awhile, be amazed at the large windows! Note: Close-toed shoes are required. Please be cautious of student projects in the machine shop area. Students will be working on their final projects of the semester, so if you are unsure if something you see is being worked-on or not, please do not touch.

Campus Tour for 50th and 50+ Reunion Alumni (North Terrace, Shanahan Center)
We know some alumni haven’t been to campus for a while, so we are offering a special campus tour for members of our 50th Reunion (1976) and any members of our 50+ alumni group (1959-1975). The tour led by current HMC students will give you insights into the new buildings and current campus dynamic in a quick 1-hour tour through the academic end of campus.

Empathetic Listening Workshop (The Hive, Seeley G. Mudd Building, Pomona, 130 E 7th St.)
In a world desperately in need of more and better listeners, this design-thinking superpower can help! Join us to learn and practice empathetic listening to better understand and deeply connect with anyone, from people you love to strangers you’ve just met.

New location, same great spirits! Enjoy wine produced by alumni from Mudd, Scripps and Pitzer, and mingle with your favorite professors. This year, Scripps is celebrating its 100th anniversary, resulting in the 3-C wine tasting moving over to Pitzer’s campus.

Bates Reception (Aviation Room, Hoch Shanahan Dining Commons)
Honor the enduring legacy of the Bates Program. All Bates program alumni and anyone interested in flying, airplanes and aerospace are welcome to come to this casual reception. Reminisce about the flying program at Mudd, share stories with new flyers, and just reconnect over shared interests.

Entrepreneurial Reception (Green Room Patio, Platt)
Network with the HMC entrepreneurial community. Facilitated by Professor Zach Dodds, this casual reception is the hub for alumni and students to discuss emerging trends, share startup stories, and explore the state of innovation on campus today. All alumni and students interested in networking with entrepreneurs are invited to join.

Biotech and Biomedical Careers Networking Reception (North Terrace, Shanahan Center)
Alumni and students who are in biotech, biomedical, pharmaceutical, and all areas associated are invited to this casual reception, hosted by the Innovation Accelerator Labs: Emerging Health Technologies team. We aim to grow the network and connections of all who are in and interested in the field of biotech.

Pre-Health Alumni and Student Networking Reception (North Terrace, Shanahan Center)
Alumni in diverse medical professions and current students in Pre-Health programs are invited to this casual reception, hosted by the HMC Pre-Health Advising Team (Bilin Zhuang, Natasha Santos, and Tony Jimenez). This is an opportunity to build and strengthen connections, gain career insights, and explore mentorship opportunities in the medical field.

Officially kick off the start of the weekend with a reception welcoming all Alumni Weekend attendees and students celebrating the last day of classes. IA Labs: AI (McAlister, Galileo Hall)
Harvey Mudd’s Innovation Accelerator Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence (IAL-AI) advance a human-centered approach to AI through hands-on prototyping, responsible software development and interdisciplinary teaching. Hear from the three projects that were selected for seed funding, reflecting the creativity, rigor and ethical responsibility that define Harvey Mudd’s mission and its thoughtful leadership during a pivotal moment for technology and society.

Presentations by the 2026 Outstanding Alumni (McAlister, Galileo Hall)
Hear this year’s Outstanding Alumni Award recipients share career highlights, reflect on Mudd experiences and reveal life lessons. Presenters include: Scot Owen ’65, Darin Grant ’96, Suzanne Hawley ’81, Robert Hulse ’96/97, Erik Ring ’96 and Ajay Shah ’06.

Join Professor Steve Adolph for a walking tour of the Bernard Field Station North of campus. Come see experimental sites for current student research while learning about Southern California ecology. And if you feel like, do some quick litter pick-up to keep the Field Station clean.
