We also have the Campus Activities Planning Board that plans and funds off-campus trips to wherever you want (within reason, of course). There’s a ton of stuff to do in the L.A. area, from Disneyland to the beaches to the mountains to museums, the list goes on and on. And CAP will fund pretty much anything you and your friends can put together.
But wait, there’s more! There are also a boat load of things to do on the other campuses that can probably meet your every need (theatre, ballroom dancing, concerts, festivals, etc.) The Claremont Colleges community sponsors events for everyone (most are free), all you have to do is show up. Again, we’ve pretty much got you covered when it comes to doing stuff on or off campus.
Chris Sundberg, the Dean of Campus Life, oversees these activities with the help of Michael Edwards, the Assistant Dean of Residential Life. They advise student committees, handle party registration and follow-up, and approve posters and flyers when you are throwing an event. If you have any questions, Chris and Mike are available via email at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also find them hanging around in the Dean of Students office in Platt Campus Center.
