Family Orientation 2025

Details about family orientation day are available on our Family Orientation 2025 Schedule page. Below are the dates for new student move-in and orientation. These dates are subject to change, please keep this in mind when making travel arrangements. For those families staying overnight, you can find a list of nearby hotels (some with courtesy room blocks) on the Student Drop-Off Hotels webpage.

• August 13 – Summer Institute (SI) and International Student (First Year Only) Move-in. For more detailed information about Admitted International Student Orientation, please visit the Division of Student Affairs Admitted International Students website.
• August 21 – First Year and Transfer Student Move-in; Informal programming for parents/families will occur only on August 21 (One-day only, tentatively scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
• August 21–24 New Student Orientation; events and sessions are for new students only
• August 24 – Sophomore, Junior and Senior Student Move-in; there is no family programming for returning students
