HeadshotFlip
Service Description
At HMC, faculty are very interested in learning the names and faces of all of the students in their classes. In order to support this CIS has developed HeadshotFlip, a tool that offers a variety of methods to learn student names, faces, and how their names are pronounced. It is available in every Canvas course as a default tool on the lefthand toolbar.
HeadshotFlip includes 5 modes:
- Class List: A full list of each student with their name, photo, phonetic pronunciation, and an audio pronunciation.
- Info Cards: All the same info as the Class List, but it only shows one student at a time.
- Flashcard Mode: All the same info as Info Cards, but offers a Flashcard style of game (The most similar to the old Anki system).
- Name Match: A game that shows the photo of the student and asks the user to guess the name from four options.
- Face Match: The same type of game as Name Match, but reverses the system by showing the student’s name and four photo options.
