Attending HMC was the greatest event of my life. It taught me how to think. After that. Medical School, Internship, Residency , Fellowship , academics with 4 separate speciality board certifications was an honor, but easier. After that, 40 years of private practice, 40,000 patients seen, 2000 lives saved in the ICU have been an incredible ride.
My advice to you is to maintain balance in your lives, but to wisely save and invest the fruits of your labors in your childrens and grandchildren’s futures. I have been a self thought but fortunate investor, and your best tool is time – compound investing. So make the most of your opportunities, but always look to your long term goals. You are all very intelligent – but financial competence is not taught in college.
