in the last few years i found myself drawn to working with wood and building furniture and decided to pursue it. this june, i graduated the nine-month furniture intensive program at the port townsend school of woodworking, where i finally found my calling. i’m still working on establishing a shop space back in portland, but my goal is to transition to a full-time woodworker building custom furniture and sculptural pieces. my work can be seen on my site: mar beck woodworking
