Parent Engagement Opportunities

We welcome parents and family members to get involved in their student’s College experience by engaging with the Mudd community. There are many opportunities to get involved throughout the year. Below are some of the key events and opportunities open to Mudd families.

Campus Events

Family Weekend, offered each February is a great opportunity to visit campus and connect with HMC faculty, staff, students and other Mudd families in a fun and casual environment.

Regional Events

Regional Summer Welcomes are offered throughout the summer and are hosted by members of the Parent Leadership Council (PLC). These regional events provide an opportunity for family and students to meet other Mudders living in their geographic area in an informal setting.

Virtual Events

Family Focus Sessions are held throughout spring and provide a more in-depth look at academics, career services and research, and the HMC Clinic program. Special informational sessions are also offered for parents of seniors and first-generation and International families.

Mudd Talks offered throughout the academic year are interesting and informational talks given by alumni, parents and friends of HMC on a wide variety of subjects including science, technology and the arts.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are several ways to volunteer at Mudd, including hosting or co-hosting a regional event, serving as a virtual panelist on an admitted student panel or serving as a parent ambassador in the Parent Leadership Council. Learn more about these opportunities and volunteer.
