Qimin Yang

Qimin Yang, PhD, Professor of Engineering, specializes in fiber optic communications, with a focus on high-capacity optical networks and network architecture design. Her research includes exploring interconnection and switching networks for high-performance computing, emphasizing routing logic designs, physical implementation, and quality of service in switching systems.

Yang currently teaches courses in Writ 1, Engineering Mathematics, Experimental Engineering, and Advanced Systems Engineering, preparing students to tackle challenges in general engineering, and in advanced electrical and communication systems.

Yang’s extensive research and teaching experience equip her students with a deep understanding of the theory and practical applications of information and systems, and approaches problem solving with multidisciplinary general engineering background.
