Gordon Krauss

Gordon Krauss, Fletcher Jones Professor of Engineering Design, focuses on design research, including team feedback, peer evaluation, decision making, and tribology (friction, wear, and lubrication). Parallel to his role at Harvey Mudd, he is globally engaged in design, sustainability, and entrepreneurship as a 2020 Fulbright U.S. Scholar at the Management Center Innsbruck, the entrepreneurial school, and as co-leader of the Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship Fellowship (SSEF) with the University of Waterloo, where he holds an adjunct appointment as a full professor. He also collaborates with Rice 360° teaching active learning and design in Nigeria and will teach Sustainable Decision Making at the Drucker School of Business as an Avery Fellow in the spring 2026 term.
