New Academic Building

Initial plans are to construct a new academic building to be completed in 2019. The purpose and function of this new space has yet to be determined. Planning will be led by the dean of the faculty in collaboration with the Department Chairs Committee. The new building will be constructed south of the current Olin building, on the site of the current parking lot as approved by the City of Claremont in the College’s Master Plan (PDF). Additional information will be posted as it develops.

Campaign Support

Funding for a new academic building is a key fundraising priority as part of The Campaign for Harvey Mudd College. The College anticipates funding the new academic building through a combination of 70 percent debt and 30 percent gifts.
