Anticipating the effects of growth on the dining commons, the Budget and Financial Planning Committee has allocated a portion of fiscal year 2013–2014 anticipated surplus funds for modifying the Hoch-Shanahan Dining Commons (PDF) to include a new exhibition station and expanded bakery. These changes will assist in accommodating increased student demand while allowing the dining commons to maintain its excellent reputation among students across The Claremont Colleges. The work was completed during summer 2014 in time for the fall 2014 semester.
