Financial Aid & Your Statement
How is my financial aid reflected on my statement?
- Your financial aid package reduces the amount you owe and is reflected on your billing statement.
- Aid shown on your bill includes only what has been officially awarded at the time the statement was generated.
- Updates to aid will appear on your next statement if made after billing.
These appear only if listed on your Financial Aid Package and are shown under the “Expected Financial Assistance” box (bottom left of your statement).
What Are “Expected” Credits?
- “Expected” credits refer to aid not yet received, such as:
- Outside scholarships
- Student or parent loans
Deadlines for Expected Aid
- If expected aid is not received by:
- October 1 (fall semester)
- March 1 (spring aemester)
Student Responsibility
- It is your responsibility to monitor the status of your aid and ensure all required documents are submitted.
- If aid is delayed due to missing paperwork, you must pay the balance due until the aid is processed.
- It will be reversed from your account, increasing the balance due on your November or April statement.
Do not send scholarship checks with tuition payments — they should be sent separately to the Office of Student Accounts.
