Details
Iris is a new computing resource for the HMC community, filling the gap between a personal computer and a high-performance computing cluster. Through custom virtual machines, Iris offers flexibility in the software and configuration available for a project. This gives researchers another option for building a computing environment around their workflow. In this session, Nic Dodds, research computing specialist, will introduce Iris, explain where it fits among HMC’s research computing resources, and discuss potential uses and how to get started.
