Mudd Family Meals

During the recent Family Weekend, the Harvey Mudd College Division of Student Affairs organized Mudd Fam Meals, a program aimed at engaging students who did not have family members visiting campus for the two-day event. An enthusiastic group of faculty and staff members hosted students for local off-campus meals throughout the weekend.

Mudd Fam Meals was a resounding success, with 21 meals hosted by 27 faculty and staff, spread across two days. The response from the student body was also overwhelmingly positive, with 126 students eagerly signing up to partake in the diverse array of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. These gatherings took place in various locations around the Claremont area, and costs, including transportation, were covered by the College.

“Mudd Fam Meals serves as a testament to the supportive and close-knit community fostered at HMC,” says Evetth Gonzalez, assistant dean of campus life and event organizer. “Through the efforts of faculty and staff, students were able to experience a sense of belonging and connection in the true spirit of Family Weekend.”
