After a national search for a director of individual giving at Harvey Mudd College, Jessica Berger has accepted the position.

Berger joined the Harvey Mudd Office of College Advancement (OCA) staff in July 2014 as associate director of development following a long tenure at Polytechnic School in Pasadena and other roles in the non-profit and public sectors. At Harvey Mudd, Berger has co-led the successful creation of the Parent Leadership Council, served as the OCA liaison for the Department of Mathematics and maintained a healthy portfolio of constituents.

As director of individual giving, Jessica will oversee the Annual Mudd Fundd and targeted major gift strategies, in addition to continuing to support the mathematics department, the Parent Leadership Council and managing a portfolio of alumni, parents and friends of the College in the Midwest and in Southern California.  She will manage the Office of Annual Giving, working closely with the major gift officers in their efforts to raise high-end annual and major gifts.

“Jessica has a history of progressive and successful development experience and I look forward to working with her more closely in this new endeavor to further strengthen the individual giving program at HMC,” says Matthew Leroux, assistant vice president for development and constituent programs.

Berger holds a B.A. from Wittenberg University in Ohio and an MSW from Cleveland State University.
