Reunion Giving

Back Together, Give Together

Reunion giving is an opportunity to reconnect with fellow Mudders, celebrate the memories and experiences that shaped your time at Mudd, and support the students who follow in your footsteps. Your reunion gift helps advance the College’s mission and provides an exceptional educational experience for current and future Mudders.

Where Your Gift Can Make an Impact

Annual Fund – Contributions to the Annual Fund support areas across campus, including: financial aid, annual scholarships, areas of greatest need, academic departments, student health and wellness initiatives, and more.

The Mudd Promise – Financial aid is our most strategic tool for securing talent. The Harvey Mudd Promise eliminates loans from our financial aid packages, making the College more attractive to families and more empowering for our students. Instead of managing the burden of debt, Harvey Mudd alumni will be free to choose their next steps based on their individual interests and aspirations.

Endowed Scholarships – Endowing a scholarship makes a lasting impact by providing long-term financial support. Contributions are invested and the returns provide scholarships to students for years to come. To learn more about establishing an endowed scholarship, contact development@hmc.edu.

Maximize Your Impact

Make a multi-year or recurring gift to the Annual Fund – You can make a multi-year pledge or set up a recurring gift through our online giving form, or through the Back Together, Give Together campaign.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (IRA Charitable Rollover)

Stocks and Mutual Funds – Give stock that has appreciated and that you have held for at least one year to obtain a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock and avoid paying capital gains tax. Contact advancement_services@hmc.edu to initiate a transfer of stock and/or mutual funds.

Corporate Matching Gifts – Matching gifts are dollars matched by employers in response to charitable contributions made by employees. Retirees, as well as spouses and domestic partners of employees may be eligible for corporate matching gifts. Check to see if your employer is a matching gift organization.
