Ellison Medical Institute (EMI) is a cancer clinic and research facility with a core focus on patient-centered research. The EMI Clinic team’s goal was to aid EMI by using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to track the flow of blood samples and individuals within the institute. The resulting live location data enables timely alerts for staff members and efficient blood sample batching for laboratory analysis. These outputs will improve clinic workflow efficiency and increase quality time with patients.
