Measurement Lab is an open-source effort to measure Internet performance and make the data accessible and useful. The project sought to improve Measurement Lab’s existing visualization system to add the capability to store, display and surface network incidents within the context of existing data visualizations. The team worked with cloud-based big-data systems to classify and store network events, set up a monthly data classification job to update current events, and used React to display the events that were discovered.
