Millennium Space Systems creates reliable, low-cost satellite products for NASA, National Security Space, and commercial customers. They have identified a need for commercially available Optical Precision Timing (OPT) instruments adapted to space environments. Such a device would improve space domain awareness and greatly increase rendezvous capabilities. In pursuit of this, the team is designing an opto-mechanical structure and developing repeatable assembly procedures for precision optics to facilitate an OPT device and operations on-orbit, employing design for manufacturing practices.
