Millennium Space Systems, Inc. designs and develops end-to-end space systems. This involves the manufacture of parts with very small tolerances. The team is working to develop a system which extracts displacement information of an object from a video with minimal runtime. Possible applications include stress testing of solder joints, alignment of control moment gyroscopes, and assessing component performance during random vibration testing. The system leverages video motion amplification and pixel tracking algorithms implemented in MATLAB to detect subpixel movement of objects captured by a video camera.
