The COVID-19 pandemic served as a catalyst for the Estée Lauder Companies to better adapt their “high-touch” culture to the online environment. The team developed a prototype for a Concierge app to addresses this need. The app’s main feature is a bot with a personable character that guides the user through their skincare journey. The team emphasized design, with consideration of user stories and brand image, while also focusing on UX development, machine learning for personalized recommendations, and REST APIs.
