The current United States Air Force’s Global Positioning System (GPS) consists of earthorbiting satellites and a world-wide network of monitoring stations. The Clinic team has developed a simulation model representing the GPS network using the OPNET network modeling platform. The model has been verified via data provided by Boeing and other sources. The team has created a set ofwhat if scenarios and applied them to the GPS model to evaluate possible modifications to the GPS infrastructure.
