On Feb. 29 and March 1, Harvey Mudd College welcomed alumni, students, faculty, staff, trustees, delegates, partners and friends to inaugurate Harriet B. Nembhard as the sixth president in the College’s 69-year history.

President Harriet B. Nembhard led a conversation with engineering alum and entrepreneur Ho Nam ’88, managing director and co-founder of Altos Ventures.
Harvey Mudd College celebrated its history at the Honoring our Progress reception at the Jon C. and Jean A.S. Strauss Plaza.
The two-day celebration included the formal investiture ceremony, an Annenberg Speaker Series talk, a gala dinner featuring a panel discussion with presidents from fellow colleges, student musical and dance performances, a dance party and more.
The inauguration featured campus-wide celebrations bringing together alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends to honor President Nembhard.
Harvey Mudd’s sixth president is a leader in the field of industrial and operations engineering and a voice on the national level for transforming undergraduate STEM education.
