Monthly Payment Plan

Harvey Mudd College is implementing a new Student Information System (SIS). As part of this project, we’re updating our billing dates effective July 2025.                    

Plan Overview

Annual charges can be paid in 8 monthly installments – 4 per semester.

Payment Schedule:

• Fall semester:
  • First billed in July 11
  • Payments due August 1 through November 1
• Spring semester:
  • First billed in December 11
  • Payments due January 2 through April 1
• Fees & Eligibility:
  • $50 participation fee per semester
  • The plan is a privilege, and may be revoked for just cause by the Office of Student Accounts
    
• How Payments Are Calculated:
  • Start with your account balance
  • Subtract:
    • Expected financial assistance (minus loan fees)
    • Work-study
    • Non-deferred charges
    • Any past-due amounts
  • Divide the result by the number of remaining installments for the semester

Annual charges payable in two installments, due prior to the fall and spring semesters

Payment Schedule:

• Fall Semester:
  • Payment due by August 1
  • Amount due: Total semester charges minus any financial aid credits
• Spring Semester:
  • Payment due by January 2
  • Amount due: Total semester charges minus any financial aid credits

Important notes

• Statements are posted online when available, and payment is due by the deadline provided in the accompanying notification
• Accounts become delinquent after the 1st of the following month
• 1% late charge applies to any delinquent amount
