Payment Plans

Harvey Mudd College offers two payment plan options: the monthly payment plan and the full payment plan. As part of our new Student Information System (SIS) implementation, we’ve updated our billing dates effective July 2025.   

Monthly Payment Plan                

Plan Overview

Annual charges can be paid in 8 monthly installments – 4 per semester.

Payment Schedule:

• Fall semester:
  • First billed on July 11
  • Payments due August 1, September 1, October 1, November 1
• Spring semester:
  • First billed on December 11
  • Payments due January 2, February 1, March 1, April 1
• Fees & Eligibility:
  • $50 participation fee per semester
  • The plan is a privilege, and may be revoked for just cause by the Office of Student Accounts
    
• How Payments Are Calculated:
  • Start with your account balance
  • Subtract:
    • Expected financial assistance (minus loan fees)
    • Work-study
    • Non-deferred charges
    • Any past-due amounts
  • Divide the result by the number of remaining installments for the semester

Full Payment

Plan Overview

Annual charges payable in two installments, due prior to the fall and spring semesters

Payment Schedule:

• Fall Semester:
  • Payment due by August 1
  • Amount due: Total semester charges minus any financial aid credits
• Spring Semester:
  • Payment due by January 2
  • Amount due: Total semester charges minus any financial aid credits

Important notes

• Statements are posted online when available, and payment is due by the deadline provided in the accompanying notification
• Accounts become delinquent after the 1st of the following month
• 1% late charge applies to any delinquent amount
