Sarena Tran
Sarena graduated from Harvey Mudd College in 2013 with a degree in Biology. As an undergraduate, she conducted research in the Stoebel Lab, studying regulation of the E. coli rpoS gene in response to stress. This research experience was formative and highlighted the value of hands-on inquiry and the real-world impact of scientific knowledge.
Since graduating, she has taught high school biology and chemistry. She currently teaches IB Biology at Claremont High School, where she gets to spread her love of engaging in practical lab work with the subject-specific content to the next generation of scientists.
