President Maria Klawe recognized for her contributions to STEM with election as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In May, she informs the board that she will leave the College in June 2023.



In addition to a Cottrell Scholarship and a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, four HMC students received the Barry Goldwater Scholarship for outstanding undergraduate STEM researchers.

Financial Review
The College’s financial position remains strong despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The College experienced a successful return to campus and was able to navigate the ever-changing COVID-19 environment. Additionally, the College ended the year with positive operating results. We believe that the College’s strong financial position will continue to support the College’s mission for years to come.

Advancement Review
Thanks to generous gifts to the Annual Fund, $4,586,846 was raised to provide scholarship assistance and operating support. The College’s strong fundraising results were achieved with loyal and generous support of our donor community.
