The Innovation Accelerator Lab for Data Science and Social Impact (DSSI) advances ethical, socially engaged data science and prepares the next generation of STEM leaders to use data responsibly for the public good. Through cutting-edge research, national conferences, datathons, skills workshops and partnerships, DSSI applies data to solve pressing challenges locally and globally.

Partner with us in a Datathon
Datathons give students the chance to use their skills on real-world problems that matter to communities. DSSI partners with local organizations to provide students with real data. Students, with mentorship from HMC faculty, learn how to analyze information and share it in ways that are clear, ethical, and useful for decision-making.
