DSSI collaborates with local organizations to tackle real challenges using data science tools and skills.

Community organizations bring their real data, and students, with mentorship from HMC faculty, learn how to analyze the information with cutting-edge tools and share it in ways that are clear, ethical, and useful for decision-making.

Students gain real-world experience addressing challenges in health, climate, education, and equity. Organizations benefit from fresh insights, innovative approaches and new data tools to help them do more good.
