Spring Move-in (Jan. 2022) Testing Requirement

Hi Students,

We hope that you are doing well and are looking forward to the Thanksgiving break. We ask that students please be safe when traveling during Thanksgiving break. If planning to travel by plane, students are strongly encouraged to become informed about any airline COVID-19 health and safety requirements, and any travel restrictions.

In addition, Harvey Mudd College has implemented a testing requirement for returning to campus after winter break. Please note that students do not have to submit a test result if they travel next week during Thanksgiving break. This is for your return in January 2022, so please start planning your testing date.

Testing requirement for return in January 2022:

For the Spring semester, we are requiring all students to get tested and provide a negative PCR test result before arriving on campus. The PCR test cannot be older than 3 days when arriving. For example, if you plan to arrive on Monday, January 17, then your PCR test cannot have been completed before January 14. Students will need to submit their results via this form before arriving on campus.

Furthermore, visit your statetriballocal, or territorial health department’s website to look for the latest local information on testing.

Winter closure:

Winter closure information such as key return and check-out procedures will be provided next week. Please note that all students need to be out of their room by 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 18th, 2021. The residence halls will be open again on Sunday, January 16, 2022 starting at 8 a.m. Students participating in the Frosh/Sophomore Orientation Retreat will move in on Friday, January 14, 2022. If you have any questions please email reslife@g.hmc.edu.

Thank you.
