March 5 Message from Dean Anna Gonzalez: HMC Meal Plans for Spring Break

The following message was sent to all students:

Dear Students,

Given that more HMC students will be staying on campus during Spring Break based on DSA survey feedback, the Hoch-Shanahan Dining Hall will be open during Spring Break for lunch and dinner. In addition, the Café will be open limited hours to support breakfast and lunch. Below are further details:

Saturday, March 14 to Saturday, March 21:

  • Hoch Shanahan will be open from Noon–1 p.m. for lunch and from 5–6 p.m. for dinner, resuming regular hours on Sunday, March 22
  • Please note that during Spring Break the menus will be more limited than during usual times

Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20:

  • The Café will be open from 8 a.m.–1 p.m.

Meal Plans and Flex Dollars

Due to anticipated additional students on campus during spring break, we are making an exception to our HMC board and flex plans for HMC students, which traditionally do not include meals provided during spring break. For the 2020 spring break week, HMC students will be able to access their regular board meal and flex plans from Saturday, March 14 through Saturday, March 21. The exception results in an additional week of board meals and flex, that is above and beyond the number of weeks included in the typical board and flex plans. HMC students will not be billed extra for these additional meals. Similar to how board and flex plans currently work, board and flex meals from one week do not carry forward to subsequent weeks.

Cheers,

Dr. G.
