Incredible person who made things brighter when she was around. She cared for so many and shared so many excellent things with I and others, making each day better for plenty. I wish I could’ve heard more of your cooking escapades, and I wish I could have spoken to you more. I will always be glad to have known you.

An incredibly lovely person who would just have an infinite plethora of things to talk about, a person who cared and cherished her own–and deserved to have the favor returned. I wish I had more time to speak to her, and get closer to her. I will always miss you Olivia. <3

I was Olivia’s Advanced Chinese instructor this semester. She always sat next to the door in the classroom. Most of the time when I went to the classroom, she had already arrived, and as soon as I opened the door, I would see her smiling at me. Her smile was always warm and sincere. Olivia was an outstanding student. Olivia consistently approached learning Chinese with passion and dedication. She put in her best effort to prepare thoroughly for every exam. For each presentation, she prepared meticulously.

I struggle to put words down to describe how wonderful Olivia was. I wish I had more time to spend with her, I wish I knew just how quickly things could all change. I wish I could talk with her about coffee again. I hope she is at peace.

There could be no gentler, kinder, funnier, or more wonderful person than her. She was someone you could always count on to brighten your life by simply existing, and my days are forever dimmed without her presence. She made each day worth looking forward to. I will never forget the memories we made, bonding over our shared interests, joys and even woes. Now and forever, I carry those memories with me.
Thank you, Olivia, for the chance to have been your friend.

Olivia inspired me in countless ways and without her, I would not have become the person I am today. She was always an illuminating presence regarding everything from Chinese to video games to cooking. There was so much I would have loved to experience with you.
Thank you for everything.

Wonderful, kind, intelligent and as interesting as a person can get. I’ll never forget her, she was a dear friend.

She was the best woman I ever knew. I only wish I could have met her more often. She was the kindest, smartest, most genuine person I have ever known and it made me look pale in comparison. I wanted to do and see so many things together with her, because she made everything worthwhile. She still does.
I’m so sorry, Liv.

My big sister. I have a lifetime of memories with this wonderful woman, but I can distinctly remember the day we toured HMC together, nearly 5 years ago. She knew that this was her dream school, and I’m beyond grateful that the faculty and her peers were able to recognize and experience her brilliance too.

Olivia was a bright and kind soul, and it was a privilege to have her in my Intermediate Chinese class during Fall 2023. I will never forget the time she came to my office to discuss her final exam presentation, in which she explored the question: Does the internet bring us closer to our friends, or does it drive us further apart? Olivia always responded to my questions with kindness and respect, and her warmth was felt by everyone around her. Words cannot express my sadness for you during this incredibly difficult time. I will forever be grateful to have had Olivia in my class.
