The first 10 days of the MRRSS will be held at Harvey Mudd College located east of Los Angles in Claremont CA. Harvey Mudd has several robotics research labs, notably the LAIR (Lab for Autonomous and Intelligent Robotics) which is hosting the MRRSS. Just north of campus is the Bernard Field Station, which has a small lake for deploying and testing AUVs. More information about the WMSC can be found here.

The final 3 days of the MRRSS will be held at the Wrigley Marine Science Center is located on Catalina Island. MRRSS students will carpool in Mudd Vans to Long beach where they will catch a ferry to Catalina Island. The WMSC offers accommodation and food for students. The water front area offers an ideal place to deploy underwater robots. The cove is protected, and is home to a large variety of marine life. Water visibility is good. Snorkel equipment including wet suits are easily accessed. More information about the WMSC can be found here.
