{"id":18,"date":"2013-12-16T12:02:11","date_gmt":"2013-12-16T20:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/study-abroad\/?page_id=18"},"modified":"2026-04-07T15:05:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T22:05:52","slug":"apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/study-abroad\/apply\/","title":{"rendered":"Apply for Study Abroad"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd2021-right-sidebar right-sidebar\" id=\"right-sidebar\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apply Now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Now accepting applications for Spring 2027 or full academic year 2026\/27!<\/em> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>FOR SPAIN ONLY Apply by September 1<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Apply by September 15<\/strong>*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply through an approved program in the new <a href=\"https:\/\/hmc.via-trm.com\/visitor-programs-v2\"><strong>Study Abroad Portal!<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Engineering students must also submit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/engineering\/current-student-information\/department-forms\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/engineering\/current-student-information\/department-forms\/\">Student Petition Form<\/a> (Kuali Build) to verify course transferability. <\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>*Some programs have earlier deadlines, check the program provider website for application deadlines. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Acceptance to most programs is a two-step process*, requiring application to HMC Office of Study Abroad and to the study abroad program provider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>*Engineering students must also submit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/engineering\/current-student-information\/department-forms\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/engineering\/current-student-information\/department-forms\/\">Student Petition Form<\/a> (Kuali Build) to verify course transferability. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Harvey Mudd College Application Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Harvey Mudd application is due the semester before you plan to study abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fall Semester Deadline: February 15<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Early Spring Semester Deadline: April 15*<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular Spring Semester Deadline: September 15<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*The early spring deadline is for spring partner programs that have early deadlines (including deadlines before September 15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Provider Application Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadlines vary, be sure to check the website for the study abroad programs you are applying to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early Deadlines for Program Applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oxford Programs: Applications are due in December or early January the year prior to your planned semester abroad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SIT Programs: These have rolling admissions, but early application is strongly encouraged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact the Office of Study Abroad for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Non-Approved Study Abroad Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Study Abroad Committee (SAC) will entertain student petitions for special cases.
