Nikki joined the Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) staff in October 2013 as the administrator of student and academic affairs. She acts as the primary administrator for providing and coordinating services and administrative support for the DOS, associate dean of academic affairs (ADAA) and the Core Curriculum director.
Nikki oversees and manages the DOS and academic affairs budgets as well as hires, trains and supervises the DOS interns. She supports the ADAA in working with the Scholarly Standing Committee and Academic Affairs Committee and is also responsible for sending Americans With Disabilities Act notifications every semester in conjunction with the Office of the Dean of Faculty. In addition to her work within student and academic affairs, Nikki works with other campus offices in the planning and running of Commencement and Orientation.
Nikki came to Harvey Mudd College after serving for two years as the residence director for off-campus living and assistant women’s soccer coach at Juniata College. She assisted in all aspects of student affairs and served as the academic progress coordinator for the women’s soccer program. She was in charge of revamping the room draw process and assisted with freshmen housing placement.
Prior to Juniata, Nikki was the head women’s soccer coach at Knox College for four seasons. She held several positions at Knox, including fitness center director, director of intramural sports, SAAC advisor and instructor of sports studies, and she spent one season as the head swimming and diving coach.
Nikki started her career in higher education as the assistant women’s soccer coach and director of intramural and club sports at Grinnell College. Her position was funded by the NCAA through the Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Grant Internship program.
Nikki earned her bachelor of science degree in sports management from Juniata College in 2006 and her master of science degree in leadership from Duquesne University in 2012.
