Our campus serves as a hub of connection, offering the physical space, programs and resources needed to foster social and cultural support, personal growth and the development of impactful lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Promoting a Safe and Secure Campus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our priority is to ensure the health and safety of all members of the Harvey Mudd College community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=202520260SB98\">California Senate Bill 98 (SB 98)<\/a>, which was signed into law on Sept. 20, 2025, requires California K-12 schools, community college districts, California State Universities (CSUs), and Cal Grant-qualified independent institutions (including Harvey Mudd College) to immediately notify students, staff and faculty when federal immigration enforcement is present on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In compliance with California State law (SB 98), members of the community will receive notification from <a href=\"https:\/\/services.claremont.edu\/campus-safety\/\">Campus Safety<\/a> in the event immigration enforcement is confirmed on campus. Information about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/emergency-preparedness\/mudd-alert\/\">Mudd Alert system<\/a>, including how to sign up for notification on your mobile phone, can be found in the Emergency Preparedness and Safety section of this site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>To Report an Incident<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty, staff, and students who wish to report an emergency, or who wish to report the suspected presence of immigration enforcement on any of the campuses, should immediately contact Campus Safety by calling <a href=\"tel:+19096072000\" class=\"phone\">909.607.2000<\/a> (7-2000 from a campus phone). DO NOT try to physically intervene. Offering round-the-clock access to personal assessment and counseling with licensed\/certified therapists at no charge, the EAP keeps all calls, emails, referrals and conversations strictly confidential (as required by law).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program helps with a variety of issues, such as parenting or relationship problems, financial advice, or legal referrals. The EAP benefit provides up to five counseling sessions per reason, per household member, per year.
