Wednesday, August 4: Session for First-Generation Families

The session is designed to answer questions and offer additional resources for first-generation students and family members. A first-generation student is defined by the Harvey Mudd College Office of Institutional Diversity as a student for whom:

  • Neither parent/guardian graduated from a four-year college. This means that a student is part of the first generation in their family to attend a four-year college/university to attain a bachelor’s degree.
  • Neither parent/guardian completed a four-year college degree in the United States.
  • Only one parent/guardian completed a four-year college degree in the United States.
