Mentorship Program

The Women in Mathematics Mentorship Program supports women who are considering a career in mathematics. We strengthen the Harvey Mudd College mathematics community by fostering connections between underclassmen, upperclassmen, and alumni. Relationships matter in ensuring that every student feels cared about and included in the mathematics community.

So, how does it work?

In the fall, students and alumni fill out forms with their mentoring interest. Underclassmen sign up to be mentored, upperclassmen may sign up to mentor and be mentored, alumni sign up to mentor. Each mentor is matched with 1-3 mentees by interests and strengths, depending on volume of interest. Women in mathematics hosts mentorship workshops and structured events to guide mentors.
