On behalf of the search committee for the vice president for student affairs search, I would like to provide you an update on our progress and to share our next steps in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The committee will meet March 22 to review applications and select semi-finalists. On April 7-8, we anticipate conducting \u201cairport interviews\u201d with the semi-finalists before bringing the three finalists to campus to meet with the community. We ask that you please note on your calendars that we expect to hold campus interviews on April 16-17, April 19-20 and April 23-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are still coordinating to finalize the details of the schedules for each of these days, and we will share more information with you soon about the candidates\u2019 schedules and when members of the community can come meet with them. We also will share links to provide feedback on each of the candidates and will make available videos of their presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As you may remember, VP Jon Jacobsen has announced his intention to step down from the role and return to the faculty June 30. Our goal is to have a new vice president for student affairs\/dean of students named by July 1. The search committee met last fall to begin the process. During that time, we interviewed and selected Witt\/Kieffer<\/a>, a nationally-recognized search firm, to assist us in the process.
