Hixon Center director Tanja Srebotnjak Delivers Guest Lectures for Columbia University Master’s Program

Hixon Center director Tanja Srebotnjak is supporting Columbia University’s Masters in Sustainability Science with 3 remotely delivered guest lectures in the course “Environmental Sustainability Indicators: Construction and Use” by Dr. Alexander de Sherbinin (Associate Director for Science Applications at the Columbia’s Center for International Earth Science Information Network).

On February 25, Srebotnjak taught a class on Exploratory Data Analysis and Missing Data Imputation and March 4 the topic was Multivariate Statistical Analysis. She combined both theory and practical exercises in R to demonstrate several of the steps involved in constructing valid composite environmental indicators. On March 25 she will close the series with a presentation on Uncertainty and Sensitivity Analysis.
